This year marks the 5th anniversary of the implementation of the Hong Kong National Security Law. Since its enactment, HK has gradually returned to the path of rule of law, regaining its prosperity and vitality. Residents now enjoy a safe and stable environment for living and working.

How do foreign friends—particularly diplomats—view HK today? What are their experiences living in this city? In this special feature, several consuls from EU member states share with us their impressions of HK.

Stefan Bredohl, German Consul General of HK and Macao, praised the city's vibrant energy. Klára Jurčová, Consul General of the Czech Republic to HK and Macao, expressed her admiration for HK people's friendliness and cooperative spirit, noting the remarkable convenience of life here. Carmelo Ficarra, Consul General of Italy in HK and Macao, described HK as welcoming, stimulating, and international with a good vibe. Meanwhile, Timo Kantola, Consul-General of Finland to HK and Macao, was deeply impressed by the city's rich cultural atmosphere.

Harvey Rouse, Head of the EU Office to HK and Macao, called HK "one of the world's greatest cities." He emphasized that as long as HK continues to keep the dynamism, openness, and uniqueness, the city's future remains bright and full of promise.
