The Chinese Embassy in Israel stated that as of last night (June 19), nearly 300 Chinese citizens have been safely evacuated through the border crossings between Israel and Jordan, and Egypt.
A spokesperson mentioned that yesterday, 119 individuals, including Chinese students studying in Israel, were organized to safely evacuate to Egypt through the Israel-Egypt border crossing. This evacuation was primarily considered due to the approaching summer vacation, as students urgently needed to return home. Factors such as the current situation, route safety, ease of crossing, and availability of flight tickets were taken into account when selecting the evacuation route. According to Global Times, the evacuated group included two students from Hong Kong.
Starting today, the embassy will continue to organize the evacuation of Chinese citizens in Israel in batches and urges those planning to evacuate to register as soon as possible through the embassy's official website and WeChat public account.
The spokesperson noted that the border crossings between Israel and Jordan, and Egypt, remain open and reminded Chinese citizens to leave via land crossings as soon as possible.
