
Chief Executive John Lee met with reporters today (June 17) before the Executive Council meeting. He stated that the Swiss International Institute for Management Development released the "2025 World Competitiveness Yearbook" this morning, showing that Hong Kong's global competitiveness has risen two places to third, with a score of 99.2. This marks the first time Hong Kong has returned to the top three since 2019.
Lee noted that the World Competitiveness Yearbook assesses the competitiveness of various economies based on a combination of objective data and business opinions, indicating a significant improvement in Hong Kong's competitiveness.
