According to CCTV News, on June 15 (local time), US President Trump issued a statement on his social media platform, announcing that US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is executing "the largest-scale illegal immigration deportation operation in history," and ordered an increase in enforcement efforts in major cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
In his statement, Trump criticized the "sanctuary cities" under Democratic leadership, claiming that such policies undermine the safety of American cities. He instructed federal law enforcement agencies to focus on "crime-ridden urban areas." He also stated that the federal government will continue to prioritize the deportation of illegal immigrants.
On June 14, approximately 2,000 protests were held in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, and Austin, as well as in rural areas, opposing a series of policies and actions since President Trump's administration began. Millions of people participated in the protests.
