
According to a report by CCTV News, China's National Immigration Administration announced today (June 12) that, effective June 12, 2025, Indonesian citizens will be eligible for the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, bringing the total number of countries covered under this policy to 55.
Under this policy, citizens from Indonesia, Russia, the United Kingdom, and 52 other countries holding valid international travel documents and onward tickets with confirmed dates and seats can transit through China visa-free en route to a third country or region. Travelers can enter through any of the 60 designated ports across 24 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, and stay for up to 10 days within specified areas. During their stay, travelers are permitted to engage in tourism, business, family visits, and other activities. However, activities requiring prior approval, such as work, study, or journalism, still require a valid visa.

Europe (40 countries): Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, Russia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Belarus, Norway.
Americas (6 countries): United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile.
Oceania (2 countries): Australia, New Zealand.
Asia (7 countries): South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Indonesia.
