Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee announced today (June 10) that the 2025 Policy Address will be released in September, with public consultation starting on Monday, June 16.
Speaking to the media before the weekly Executive Council meeting, Lee explained that the earlier release of the Policy Address this year was due to the upcoming Legislative Council (LegCo) elections scheduled for the end of the year. He emphasized the importance of enhancing communication between the executive and legislative branches, and allowing sufficient time for the public to express their views and offer suggestions.
Lee reiterated the government's commitment to listening to citizens and stakeholders to improve governance and policy planning.
Further details about consultation sessions and channels for public feedback are expected to be announced in the coming days.
