K-pop megastar G-DRAGON has reignited his global fanbase with the launch of his solo world tour, "G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch], "marking his highly anticipated return to the stage after several years. As part of the tour, G-DRAGON will perform two shows at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on August 9 and 10, attracting not only local fans but also international visitors who are expected to contribute significantly to HK's economy.
With the recent completion of various performance venues in the city, HK is set to draw more diverse global artists, further solidifying its reputation as a premier entertainment hub.

From June 6 to 8, G-DRAGON held three sold-out shows in Macao, where his fans demonstrated unparalleled enthusiasm. Outside the venue, fans organized a series of exciting support activities. Among these efforts, a fan group rented and customized a tour bus into a "GD-themed vehicle," providing free shuttle services between boundary checkpoints and the concert venue for international fans. This thoughtful gesture deeply moved attendees and underscored the strong sense of community among G-DRAGON's supporters.
Additionally, fans collaborated with local businesses across Macao to organize self-initiated support events. Restaurants, cafes, and beverage shops in popular areas such as Rua do Cunha joined forces with fans to host themed activities, infusing the city with vibrant Korean Wave energy.

Many fans carried official light sticks, affectionately referred to as "flower hand lamps," as they explored the city, taking photos with G-DRAGON-themed posters, life-sized cutouts, and LED advertisements scattered throughout Macao. Social media platforms were flooded with photos and videos showcasing the artist's immense appeal. One local cafe seized the opportunity by introducing a themed dessert resembling G-DRAGON's iconic light stick, which quickly became a trending topic, drawing large crowds of fans and tourists.

The three-day extravaganza not only transformed Macao into a hotspot for Korean pop culture enthusiasts but also turned the concerts into a citywide cultural celebration. The fan-driven activities provided a significant boost to local businesses, demonstrating the power of the "fan economy."
G-DRAGON's ability to inspire such widespread fan participation highlights his status as an Asian pop culture icon and reinforces Macao's position as a global entertainment destination. With anticipation mounting for his upcoming HK performances, a similar cultural and economic phenomenon is expected to unfold, further showcasing the transformative power of live music events.
