US President Trump plans to extend the deadline for TikTok to divest its US assets, which was originally set to expire on June 19.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump intends to sign an executive order to delay enforcement of the TikTok ban or forced sale. If implemented, this would mark the third extension during his presidency.

The White House has been pushing for a deal, but high tariffs imposed by the Trump administration have affected negotiations. The Financial Timesreports that former Fox News Channel host Tucker Carlson is on the White House's list of potential investors for TikTok's US business. Carlson, known for frequently appearing on Trump's programs, has the support of Vice President JD Vance, while other potential investors include venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and private equity firm Blackstone.
