The investment firm owned by Choi Joon-hyuk, husband of renowned Korean actress Gianna Jun (Jeon Ji-hyun), reportedly suffered massive losses of 14.5 billion KRW (approx. HK$83.61 million) due to the delisting of cryptocurrency WEMIX, in which the company had heavily invested.
According to Korean media, Alpha Asset Management, led by Choi, incurred significant losses from its investment in Wemade stocks. Wemade, a company aggressively expanding into blockchain gaming, developed the WEMIX ecosystem. However, on February 28, the WEMIX token was hacked, resulting in losses of 9 billion KRW.

The company initially remained silent about the incident, only issuing a public statement four days later, sparking criticism. Reports indicate that Choi's firm, where he serves as a director, now faces an estimated total loss of 14.5 billion KRW, leaving it in a dire financial situation.
