Mangzhong is the third solar term of summer, occurring when the sun reaches a celestial longitude of 75°. During this period, crops with awns begin to mature, and summer sowing is in full swing, creating a bustling agricultural scene often referred to as "busy sowing during Mangzhong."
In the north, wheat is harvested, while in the south, rice seedlings are transplanted. Additionally, the plum rain season in the Yangtze River also signifies one of the busiest times of the year for farmers.
