Wang Xudong, director of the Palace Museum, announced on May 27 that 52 percent of the museum's collection has been digitized, with the digitalization process advancing at a rate of 70,000 artifacts per year. He shared these insights during a speech at the Forum on Empowering Cultural Trade with Digital and Intelligent Technologies held in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province. The forum is one of 10 parallel sessions under the Forum on Building up China's Cultural Strength 2025, which opened in Shenzhen on May 26.
