
Early this morning (June 1), police arrested six local men and one foreign national at a shopping mall in Ma On Shan on suspicion of attempting to commit burglary. Photos online showed that the targeted jewelry store was temporarily closed off.
Acting on intelligence, police took enforcement action around 5 am at the MOSTown on 18 On Luk Street. Investigations revealed that the suspects were attempting to break into a jewelry store within the mall. Initially, four men were arrested outside the mall, followed by the interception of two vehicles suspected to be involved, leading to the arrest of three additional men.

During the operation, police seized several suspected burglary tools from the arrested individuals, including a concrete nail gun, a hammer, and three screwdrivers. Additionally, inside the two vehicles, officers found a gold melting furnace, an electronic scale, and gloves, believed to be related to the case.
All arrested individuals are currently in custody for investigation, and no losses have been reported in the case.
