A new round of direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will be announced soon, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday (May 28).
Lavrov said one of Russia's "key requirements" for resolving the conflict is Ukraine's return to a neutral, non-aligned and nuclear-free status.
Russia and Ukraine held their latest round of direct talks on May 16, their first face-to-face negotiations since March 2022. The talks in Istanbul ended without a ceasefire agreement.
