According to Xinhua News Agency, a spokesperson for the Northwest Ambulance Service in the UK, Dave Kitchin, reported on May 26 that an incident in which a car struck fans in central Liverpool has resulted in 27 injuries, with two individuals in serious condition. Kitchin stated that the 27 injured were urgently transported to four hospitals in the Liverpool area, including one child among the seriously injured. Additionally, 20 others received treatment for minor injuries on-site and did not require hospitalization.

Jenny Simms, the Deputy Chief Constable of Merseyside Police, stated at a press conference that the incident has been preliminarily classified as an "isolated event," and the police do not believe it is related to terrorism. A 53-year-old white male suspect from Liverpool has been detained.
Reports from British media indicate that thousands of fans were celebrating Liverpool's Premier League championship victory along the streets at the time of the incident. A police spokesperson noted that just after 6 pm local time, they received reports of a car colliding with multiple pedestrians on Water Street in Liverpool, and the vehicle was subsequently stopped at the scene.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed his shock on social media, stating: The scenes in Liverpool are appalling - my thoughts are with all those injured or affected.
