The Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration, Cheuk Wing-hing, said that tourism has become a new norm and a new preference, and tourists no longer come to Hong Kong just to shop but to enjoy city walks. The nine tourism hotspots announced by the government earlier have a "strong Hong Kong flavor", including in-depth tours of two distinctive communities and the opening up of the old Yau Ma Tei Police Station, all of which are intended to make tourists feel that there are new things in Hong Kong that they may not have been to before, and which he believes will help to enhance the attractiveness of Hong Kong's tourism.

When attending a radio program, Cheuk mentioned that Hong Kong will promote Hong Kong's industrial brand tourism, and it is expected that relevant tourism products will be launched in the third quarter of this year on a trial basis. The tourism industry will study how to introduce paid tours, and the reason for the "group entry and exit" is to avoid affecting other people in the park, so tourists will not be allowed to enter and exit freely.
He disclosed that apart from the currently announced brands made in Hong Kong, the government has also approached other brands, such as pharmaceutical companies, to allow tourists to visit the manufacturing process of pharmaceutical products. Pharmaceutical companies are considering whether to participate, as they may need to add additional facilities to comply with various standards.
