Swire Properties is now hosting its annual community charity event, 'BOOKS FOR LOVE @ $10', which runs until Sunday at ArtisTree, 1/F, Cambridge House, and 18/F, Berkshire House in Taikoo Place. Book lovers of all ages are invited to browse over 320,000 second-hand books, enjoy reading, and contribute to a meaningful cause.
Now in its 13th year, this year's event embraces the theme 'Every book is a treasure', promoting the joy of literature and the healing power of words. To thank supporters, the book fair offers a 'Buy 10, Get TWO' discount. Alongside the sale, a lineup of wellness-themed activities and family-friendly programs will encourage visitors to discover happiness through books.
This year, the campaign collected 320,000 donated books, with 9,000 children's books already sold in an online pre-sale. More than 7,000 volunteers participated, and the proceeds funded BGCA's 'Treasure Trove' program and AVS's volunteerism initiatives.
