
From May 8 to 10, police launched a three-day operation across various districts in Hong Kong to combat violent crime and triad-related activities. A total of 129 individuals, aged between 16 and 71, were arrested, including three boys. Authorities seized a quantity of drugs, an electric gun, and a replica handgun, among other weapons.
The arrested individuals included two non-Chinese boys, one local boy, 34 local men, six local women, one man from mainland China, 47 foreign men, and 39 foreign women. One of the detainees was an illegal immigrant. The suspects face charges related to operating gambling establishments, gambling in those establishments, trafficking dangerous drugs, manufacturing dangerous drugs, possession of drugs, assault, misleading police officers, causing bodily harm, illegal entry and stay, violating immigration conditions, possessing another person's identity card, selling alcoholic beverages without a license, drinking in unlicensed premises, theft, possessing firearms without a license, conspiracy to commit fraud, obtaining property by deception, and money laundering.
During the operation, police conducted surprise raids on several crime hotspots and suspected illegal locations, confiscating approximately HK$10,000 in suspected criminal proceeds, about 6.4 kilograms of ice, a small amount of cannabis, 15 gaming machines, an electric gun, a telescopic baton, and a replica handgun.
