According to Xinhua, at 4:40 pm on May 4, at Xinren Township, Qianxi County, Bijie City, Guizhou Province, a boat capsized in a sudden gale in the waters of the Liuguang River in the scenic area of the Wujiang River Source Gallery. According to the current investigation and verification, the accident caused four boats to capsize, and 84 people fell into the water.
Reportedly, 83 people have been rescued and found, of which 9 died of medical failure, 70 are still in the hospital (non-life-threatening), and 4 are safe and uninjured.
