The 2025 voter registration campaign is set to begin today (April 25), with the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau announcing that the Electoral Affairs Commission will promote voter registration through various methods during this period.
In a statement on social media, the Bureau highlighted that the Electoral Affairs Commission has been diligently preparing for the promotional activities. This includes organizing briefings for voter registration officers and assistants, setting up voter registration counters at the Immigration Department headquarters, organizing materials for registration counters and mobile registration stations, and displaying large banners and posters in multiple districts across Hong Kong. Additionally, promotional messages will be shown on electronic screens at various locations, urging eligible citizens to register as voters or update their voter registration information by June 2.
The Electoral Affairs Commission will also display promotional messages on online platforms and public transportation. Furthermore, a series of government promotional videos and audio messages will be broadcast tomorrow on television, radio, online platforms, and in public housing estates, private developments, and government buildings.
