The "ITTF Men's and Women's World Cup Macao 2025" continued in Macao, China, with a gripping men's singles semifinal match. China's Wang Chuqin fought valiantly through seven games but ultimately lost 3-4 to Brazil's Hugo Calderano, narrowly missing a spot in the final.
The decisive seventh game ended 12-10 in Calderano's favor. The full game scores were: 12-14, 11-5, 11-6, 11-7, 7-11, 5-11, 10-12.
Later tonight at 8:15 p.m., the second semifinal will take place between Lin Shidong and Liang Jingkun. The winner will face Calderano in the final to compete for the men's singles championship.
