Recently, US Vice President JD Vance's derogatory remarks referring to the Chinese people as "Chinese peasants" have sparked widespread outrage.
Robert Barwick, Australian Citizens Party Senate candidate for Victoria, refuted such claims.
"Not does it show he's (JD Vance) completely out of touch with the reality of what's happening in China, it also unfortunately represents that white supremacism that actually underlies so much of the western view of China," he said.
"The Americans want to see it as a competition, but they've lost. They are losing to some of the hardest workers in the world, they're losing to people who just get on and solve problems and do things."
