Hong Kong fans of singer-actor Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) have launched a jaw-dropping support campaign worth over HK$1 million ahead of his long-awaited "Evolution Nic Live" concert series—his first solo show in 25 years.
To celebrate the four-night concert run starting April 24 at the Kai Tak Sports Park Arena, Tse's passionate fans have rolled out a full-scale citywide promotional blitz featuring:
1. Massive LED Billboard Takeover
From April 18 onwards, six landmark outdoor LED screens across Hong Kong will continuously broadcast fan-made support videos and artistic tributes to Tse. These screens include:
The largest high-definition LED screen on the SOGO Department Store facade in Causeway Bay
Prominent locations in Mody Road, Chungking Mansions, Carnavon Road (Tsim Sha Tsui), Argyle Street (Mong Kok), and AIRSIDE in Kai Tak
2. Branded Trams: "Nicholas Express"
Six Hong Kong trams have been transformed into moving billboards, wrapped in Tse's iconic portraits and adorned with the titles of his hit songs—effectively turning them into "mobile playlists." These trams will operate across Hong Kong Island from April 16 for three consecutive weeks, running between Sheung Wan and Shau Kei Wan.
3. Free Ice Cream Giveaways
Adding a delicious twist that nods to Tse's popular "celebrity chef" image, fans have arranged for ice cream trucks to distribute free soft-serve ice cream on:
- April 24 (Opening Night)
- April 26 (Third Show)
- April 27 (Final Show)
The giveaways will occur from 1 PM to 4 PM near the SOGO LED screen in Causeway Bay, drawing crowds and igniting excitement.
Known for his low-key demeanor, Tse expressed heartfelt gratitude upon learning of the fan-driven campaign.
"I know how much love and support you've given me—it's all in my heart," he said.
