Yesterday around 3 PM, a yellow Lamborghini was seen driving towards Tsuen Wan on Tuen Mun Road near the Harrow International School when it reportedly malfunctioned and began emitting smoke.
The female driver pulled over to the roadside and exited the vehicle, after which the engine area caught fire. She called the police for assistance.
The fire spread rapidly, and firefighters arrived to extinguish the flames. The Lamborghini was severely damaged, with the rear and engine areas heavily charred. Initial investigations suggest that overheating due to a mechanical failure may have sparked the fire, but the exact cause is still under investigation.
The involved vehicle is a Murcielago model Lamborghini, valued at over HK$2 million in the second-hand market. It boasts a maximum output of 640 horsepower and features all-wheel drive, earning its reputation as a supercar.
