Education Secretary Linda McMahon inadvertently caused widespread bewilderment during a Silicon Valley investor summit in California on April 8 when she repeatedly referred to artificial intelligence (AI) as "A1".
The apparent confusion between "AI" and her "A1" reference went uncorrected during her speech. When U.S. media sought clarification from the Department of Education, officials had not responded by press time.
McMahon, a staunch Trump loyalist who led the Small Business Administration during his first term, faced significant scrutiny when nominated as Education Secretary due to her lack of professional experience in the field. The former CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has frequently drawn attention for her unconventional transition from sports entertainment to federal education policy.
