
After last week's sharp decline, Japan's stock market experienced another significant drop today (April 7) during the morning session as the Nikkei 225 index opened substantially lower, falling over 2,600 points within just ten minutes of trading, representing a decline of more than 7%.
In South Korea, the market also saw a severe drop of over 4.5% early on, with the Seoul Composite Index reporting 2,351 points, down 114 points, a decrease of 4.63%.
Additionally, the Taiwanese stock market reopened after the holiday and followed the downward trend from both external and regional markets, with the weighted index falling below 20,000 points, reporting 19,217 points, a decline of 9.77%.
