On April 4, US President Donald Trump shared a video on his social media platform, Truth Social, that claimed Warren Buffett, the iconic American investor and chairman of Berkshire Hathaway, endorsed Trump's tariff policies. The video, originally posted on TikTok and later circulated on X, used a "slideshow with voiceover" format to make its case.

The voiceover in the video stated that Trump made the stock market drop by 20% this month, but he did it intentionally. That's why Warren Buffett just said Trump is introducing the best economic measures he's seen in over 50 years.
Shortly after Trump reposted the video, Berkshire Hathaway issued a statement debunking the claim, saying: "There are reports currently circulating on social media (including Twitter, Facebook and TikTok) regarding comments allegedly made by Warren E. Buffett. All such reports are false."

CNN also reported that Buffett has consistently criticized Trump's tariff policies. In an interview last month, he referred to those policies as "an act of war, to some degree."
