On April 3 in the afternoon local time, the Blue Sky Rescue Team from China continued their search and rescue operations at the Great Wall Hotel in Mandalay, Myanmar. They began working overnight at this rescue site, tirelessly searching for survivors.

Two ambulances were parked on standby, and two teams from the Blue Sky Rescue were focused on their operations. There were reports of possible signs of life, but this still needs further confirmation.

Currently, the local temperature is around 38 to 39 degrees Celsius, with a slight breeze, but the heat is still oppressive. Rescue team members continuously enter and exit the rubble, with some using water to wash their faces, seemingly trying to cool down. DDN reporters on-site observed that team members brought mosquito coils into the rescue area, as the smell inside was very strong, necessitating the use of mosquito coils to mask the odor.

It was noted that approaching the building debris produced a strong odor, filled with bacteria and viruses, which could be quite uncomfortable.

As of the time of reporting, rescue operations were still ongoing. After a brief rest and rehydration, team members re-entered the collapsed hotel ruins to search for signs of life.
