
After US President Donald Trump stated that the United States would "100% acquire" Greenland, Greenland's Prime Minister Jens Frederik Nielsen posted on Sunday (March 30) that Greenland does not belong to any other country and that its residents will determine their own future.
On Saturday, Trump told NBC News that the US "will definitely acquire" Greenland and did not rule out the possibility of using "military means" to take control of the island.
