The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has called for the immediate evacuation of all buildings and reminded the public to be alert to the possibility of aftershocks.

In a statement issued at noon, the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) said that the aftershock of the March 31 earthquake in Myanmar was relatively small and was not expected to have a major impact on Thailand, as tremors were felt in high-rise buildings in several areas of Bangkok. Nevertheless, a large number of people took refuge in open areas.
