A number of high-rise buildings in Bangkok, Thailand, today (March 31) at noon activate the emergency evacuation due to seismic sensations.

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has called for the immediate evacuation of all buildings and reminded the public to be alert to the possibility of aftershocks.
In a statement issued at noon, the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) said that the aftershock of the March 31 earthquake in Myanmar was relatively small and was not expected to have a major impact on Thailand, as tremors were felt in high-rise buildings in several areas of Bangkok. Nevertheless, a large number of people took refuge in open areas.
