According to media reports, local singer K.C. Lee has passed away at the age of 60. His friend, Dominic Chow, confirmed the news in a media interview, revealing that Lee had been suffering from a throat tumor and required major surgery. Chow described Lee as a good person.

It is understood that Lee posted a video of a dark sky on his social media two weeks ago, captioning it with "Bye," but it did not attract much attention at the time.
Lee Kwok Cheung rose to fame after participating in the 8th New Talent Singing Awards. In 1991, he released his debut album, "BLUE," featuring the hit song "Blue Sha La La," which topped the radio charts for two weeks, surpassing fellow newcomer Aaron Kwok. That same year, he won the radio's Ultimate Song Chart Awards Presentation "Best Male Singer" award. His follow-up song "A Lingerin Love" became a signature hit, achieving gold record status and earning him an invitation to the Tokyo Music Festival in Japan.
In 1993, Lee's duet with Anthony Lun, "There's Still You Encouraging Me," became a popular track, leading him to venture into the Taiwanese market with a Mandarin EP. He later shifted his focus to producing Hi-Fi audiophile records and held his first solo concert, "A Lingerin Love Concert," in 2015. Lee publicly came out in a magazine interview and had been primarily developing his career in mainland China in recent years. Since 2023, he has served as the artistic director for a media company in Guangzhou.
