Marvel Studios has officially announced the long-awaited production of "Avengers 5," unveiling the cast during a live-streamed event lasting five and a half hours. The announcement revealed 27 actors and characters, including a surprise appearance by Robert Downey Jr., who reprises his iconic role as Iron Man in the promotional video.
It has been confirmed that Downey will play "Doom" (Doctor Doom) in this installment, one of Marvel's most popular characters. On March 27, Marvel Studios' official Weibo account posted, "They are all back... but heading toward Doomsday." The cast for "Avengers: Doomsday" was revealed, with Downey taking center stage in the announcement.
"Avengers 5" is currently scheduled for release in North America on May 1, 2026.
