JD Hong Kong held a media briefing today (March 24) to announce the launch of its price guarantee service for Hong Kong consumers, covering all self-operated product categories. For home appliances, JD is offering large-scale subsidies for the first time, along with services such as "30-Day Returns, 180-Day Replacement for Defective Products" and "Free Shipping for One Item."
Ken Yeung, head of JD's Hong Kong and Macau business, announced that starting today, the JD APP's Hong Kong site will kick off a campaign to distribute "Coupons Worth a Total of One Million." Consumers can participate in a lottery during the campaign period, and those who place orders with a minimum amount of RMB 188 will have a chance to win a no-threshold coupon valued at RMB 10,000.
In logistics, the JD Express Hong Kong Island Operation Center officially commenced operations today. Located in Chai Wan, the center spans over 10,000 square feet and is equipped with automated sorting equipment, which is expected to double overall sorting efficiency.
In the past, once goods arrived at the station, couriers manually selected items for their delivery areas. Now, with the introduction of the automated sorting system, combined with JD's multi-dimensional data collection and pre-sorting technology, goods will be automatically sorted into the delivery routes of couriers, making the sorting process more efficient and accurate.
When asked about recruitment plans, Ma Wei, head of JD Express Hong Kong operations, stated that there are currently over 50 employees in Hong Kong. However, with the rapid growth of business volume, the company will accelerate its hiring process. He noted that the overall demand for personnel is high, and significant growth is expected by the end of the year, with recruitment plans tailored to the volume of business.
