
April 15 marks the 10th National Security Education Day, and Hong Kong's Security Bureau has announced a series of open days for its eight disciplined services and auxiliary services. These events aim to enhance public awareness of national security and showcase the contributions of these forces to safeguarding it.
Starting today (March 19), members of the public can register for free admission tickets via the relevant disciplined services' websites or mobile applications. Admission tickets are not required for the open days of the auxiliary services.
The open days will feature a variety of activities, including flag-raising ceremonies, Chinese-style foot drills, rescue demonstrations, displays of firearms and equipment, working dogs' demonstrations, and game booths.
Specific venues and dates include:
- April 12: Immigration Service Institute of Training and Development, Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum and Community Education Experience Centre, and the Civil Aid Service Headquarters.
- April 13: Police Museum, Fire and Ambulance Services Academy, and the Government Flying Service's Kai Tak Division.
- April 18: Hong Kong Customs College.
- April 27: Auxiliary Medical Service Headquarters.
