US President Donald Trump posted an image on his social media platforms on March 16, which contained his official first term portrait photo, former US President Joe Biden's automatic signature pen, and Trump's official second term portrait photo. Some netizens commented that Biden's presidential portrait photo was replaced by an automatic signature pen, and FOX News reported that Trump's move mocked Biden's use of an automatic signature pen.
Vice President James David Vance also reportedly posted a screenshot of Trump's post on his social media platform X account. Later, Elon Musk reposted Vance's post on his X account.

In addition, it was reported that two days before Trump posted the above post on March 16, he had said in another post, "During the Biden administration, the real president was the one who controlled the automatic (signature) pen!"
