The special exhibition "Picasso for Asia-A Conversation" will open this Saturday (March 15) at the M+ Museum and will run for four months.
M+ Museum Director Suhanya Raffel expressed her excitement about participating in the collaboration with the Musée National Picasso-Paris to co-host this groundbreaking exhibition. She emphasized the importance of sharing in today's complex international environment, believing that the exhibition will connect the world through visual arts.

Raffel further noted that the exhibition showcases how cross-cultural cooperation can create new narratives and perspectives, enriching discussions in global art history and highlighting M+'s unique role in fostering diverse dialogues in contemporary visual culture. She believes the exhibition successfully constructs a profound dialogue that transcends time, geography, and culture based on academic research.

Cécile Debray, Director of the Musée National Picasso, Paris, described Picasso as one of the most renowned artists in modern art history. The exhibition will examine his profound impact from a contemporary Asian perspective, diverging from a Western-centric viewpoint, which is unprecedented. She hopes for more collaborative projects between museums in Hong Kong and Paris.
Co-organized by the M+ Museum and the Musée National Picasso-Paris, the exhibition is curated by M+ Art Director and Chief Curator Doryun Chong in collaboration with researchers at the Musée National Picasso-Paris. This will be the first major Picasso exhibition in Hong Kong in over a decade, featuring more than sixty classic works by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.
