
Tesla stock is at a low point right now, having fallen for seven weeks since company founder Musk joined the Trump administration, marking the company's longest losing streak in 15 years. The company's market value has evaporated by more than US$800 billion.
Musk's political stance has also sparked a public backlash against Tesla around the world. Recently, protests against Tesla's facilities in Europe, as well as suspected arson and vandalism incidents, have been occurring frequently, and anti-Musk and anti-Tesla sentiment has been heating up.
On the other hand, in January of this year, BYD's monthly sales in the UK, Spain, and Portugal increased by 551%, 734%, and 207% year-on-year. For the first time, BYD's sales in these three countries exceeded that of Tesla.
