The closing session of the Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) was held this afternoon (March 11) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.
After the session concluded, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, President of the People's Republic of China, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, paused on his way out to greet and engage in a friendly interaction with Leung Chun-ying and Ho Hau-wah, Vice Chairmen of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).
This moment at the closing session again reflected President Xi's special care and attention toward Hong Kong and Macao. As Hong Kong marks the 28th anniversary of its return to the motherland and Macao celebrates its 26th anniversary, it is believed that, under the leadership and support of President Xi and the central government, both regions will embrace even greater development opportunities.
