Deliveroo will withdraw from Hong Kong after April 7 this year. Existing customers and delivery staff will be "redirected" to foodpanda, while some restaurants and department stores will also move into foodpanda.
According to Deliveroo, eligible deliverers will be rewarded HK$200 for their first 10 orders at foodpanda, and HK$500 for those who use other means of delivery.
Deliveroo said that if the delivery workers wish to continue working, they are encouraged to take orders through the foodpanda platform. For those who do not have a foodpanda account, or whose foodpanda accounts have been inactive recently, the "foot deliverers" will be rewarded with HK$200 for completing their first 10 orders via foodpanda, and HK$500 for delivering with other delivery tools and vehicles.
