A YouTuber recently shared a video where he dressed as a firefighter while visiting a restaurant, titled "Cheung Sha Wan Firefighter Challenges Australia Dairy Company in Fast Food!" In the video, he claims to be "rushing to put out fires," pressuring staff to take his order quickly.
This behavior has sparked outrage online, with many netizens criticizing him for "insulting firefighters" and undermining their professional image.
The Fire Services Department confirmed they are investigating the incident after noting that the individual is not a firefighter and his attire does not represent official uniforms. They have reported the matter to the police for further action.
According to the Fire Services Ordinance, it is illegal to wear a firefighter's uniform without permission, with penalties including fines and imprisonment.
Despite the influencer's attempt to clarify that the characters in the video are fictional, negative feedback continued, with accusations of impersonating a public servant.
