
This morning (March 8), the second plenary session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. During the session, Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, delivered a report on the work of the Standing Committee, emphasizing the need to enhance constitutional education in China's Special Administrative Regions (SARs).
Zhao highlighted the importance of advancing constitutional theory research and education, as well as implementing President Xi Jinping's key directives on the Constitution. He called for the organization of the 11th National Constitution Day symposium and reiterated the need to strengthen the promotion of the Constitution in the SARs. Additionally, Zhao noted that five constitutional oath-taking ceremonies have been organized as part of these efforts.
