Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, attends a press conference on China's foreign policy and external relations on the sidelines of the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) in Beijing today (March 7).
Wang highlighted that China's diplomacy will continue to provide robust strategic support for the advancement of Chinese modernization and create a favorable external environment. He said that China has unilaterally implemented visa-free policies for 38 countries and extended the 144-hour visa-free transit policy to 240 hours for travelers from 54 countries. The "visa-free friendship circle" is expected to expand further, making "visiting China" an increasingly popular global trend.
The Foreign Minister also emphasized China's commitment to introducing more efficient consular services, optimizing diplomatic and foreign affairs resources, and upgrading the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' global promotional activities to facilitate greater openness and cooperation.
Additionally, China is set to enhance its business environment by steadily expanding institutional openness, lowering entry barriers, and shortening the negative list for foreign investments. Special attention will be given to providing unilateral preferential policies for the least developed countries, ensuring that China remains a top choice for international collaboration.
