Chinese astronaut Wang Yaping, also a member of the CPPCC National Committee, has proposed initiatives on space science education at the Two Sessions for the third consecutive year. Today (March 5), Wang mentioned that over the past year, she has continued her duties as a teacher in space.
Many of the first students who attended her classes through live broadcast are now working alongside her in the aviation sector, with some even becoming advocates for aerospace science, she mentioned.
Wang also noted that China's astronaut team is growing stronger, with one payload specialist from Hong Kong and one from Macao selected for the fourth batch of reserve astronauts, who have already trained for six months. Additionally, foreign astronauts are participating in the selection process for China's space station and will work alongside Chinese astronauts on missions there in the future.
She believes this will inspire more countries to join hands in exploring the mysteries of the universe, writing a new chapter in the shared journey to benefit all humanity.
