According to a message from Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun's WeChat official account today (March 5), Lei stated that he was greatly encouraged after listening to Premier Li Qiang's government work report this morning. As a deputy of private enterprises, he felt a strong sense of mission.
The report not only provides a high-level overview and direction for progress but is also particularly pragmatic, outlining many concrete measures that convey a spirit of "facing challenges head-on and striving for success," fully reflecting the determination and responsibility of the Party and the government.
Lei emphasized three key points from the government work report that left a deep impression on him: First, the combination of stability and progress brings confidence and assurance. Second, a people-centered approach focusing on livelihoods. Third, developing new quality productive forces with confidence while consistently promoting innovation for high-quality development.
He also noted that the themes of "innovation" and "high-quality development" run throughout this year's report.
The report mentions stimulating innovation in the digital economy, continuously advancing the "AI+" initiative, and vigorously developing intelligent connected new energy vehicles, AI smartphones and computers, intelligent robots, and other next-generation smart terminals and manufacturing equipment.
"These are closely related to Xiaomi's business... Xiaomi will continue to steadfastly pursue technological innovation and high-end development, applying advanced AI technologies to various terminal products, allowing consumers to experience the wonderful life brought by technology."
He also expressed full support for the report's emphasis on comprehensively addressing "involutionary" competition (rat race), stating that the essence of "anti-involution" is to resolutely avoid low-quality homogeneous competition.
"We must oppose involution and firmly adhere to high-quality development. Innovation is the driving force behind high-quality development; only by insisting on foundational technological innovation can we continuously achieve improvements in efficiency and experience.
