After leaving TVB in 2022, former TVB actor Oscar Li Ka transitioned to working at the airport as a driverless vehicle operator. Recently, he announced that he was awarded the safety model employee award, which left him extremely surprised.
Li married his wife in 2022, and they have a daughter. To support his family, he took a job at Hong Kong International Airport as a driverless vehicle operator. After quietly working for two years, he received the safety model employee award. He felt very surprised and expressed his gratitude on social media, saying, "I've won an award, thanks to Dah Chong Hong Holdings and the Hong Kong International Airport Authority."
In a media interview, Li said he was very surprised and admitted he never thought he would win an award, as he was just doing his duty. He revealed that he works 12 hours a day, starting at 5 am to check the driverless vehicles and ensure their safe operation, stating, "Safety is really important."
Although Li humbly claimed he has no luck in winning awards or prizes, he did win a grand prize worth HK$1 million in the TVB anniversary celebration in 2016.
