Hongkong Post announced today (March 3) the upcoming release of the "2025 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps" and related philatelic products, themed around Hong Kong landmarks, set to go on sale on March 18.
This new set marks the fifth issuance of definitive stamps by Hongkong Post since the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The collection features 16 stamps that highlight iconic landmarks, including the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the International Finance Centre, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. These stamps showcase the unique charm of Hong Kong as an international financial hub and a center for cultural exchange, depicting both its stunning landscapes and significant infrastructure developments.
The definitive stamps will be available in a full range of denominations, offering convenience for everyday mailing needs.
Additionally, the "2014 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps," themed around the Hong Kong Global Geopark of China, will remain available while stocks last. To commemorate the concurrent sale of both sets, a special souvenir pack will be released.
Official first day covers for the "2025 Hong Kong Definitive Stamps" will be available at all post offices and online at ShopThruPost starting tomorrow (March 4). Postcards will be sold exclusively at philatelic offices. The new stamps and products will be available at all post offices and ShopThruPost from March 18. Serviced first day covers, souvenir packs, and maximum cards will be available at philatelic offices only. Stamp booklets will be sold at all post offices (excluding mobile post offices) from March 18 to 24, and at convenience stores and other non-post office outlets starting March 24.
A hand-back date-stamping service will be offered on March 18 at all post offices for official first day covers and other items marked with the first day of issue.
To enhance the commemorative experience, Hongkong Post will also launch a series of 16 cachets featuring the new definitive stamps on the same date. The complete set of cachets will be available at four post offices: the General Post Office, Sha Tin Central Post Office, Tsim Sha Tsui Post Office, and Tsuen Wan Post Office, as well as at the Postal Gallery in the Hongkong Post Building. Six of these cachets will also be available at five designated post offices.
