The triathlon test event for the 15th National Games began today (March 1) and will be held over two days at the Central Harbourfront and Victoria Harbour. Yang Deqiang, Director of the National Games Coordination Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, stated that the course has been significantly improved and meets international standards.
The test event features three competition categories: men's individual, women's individual, and mixed relay, with approximately 110 athletes from mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao participating, including 6 male and 5 female athletes from Hong Kong. The women's individual race and men's individual race took place at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM today, respectively, while the mixed relay will be held tomorrow at 2:00 PM, with each team consisting of two men and two women, totaling 15 teams registered for the event.
