In line with the grand opening ceremony of the Kai Tak Sports Park on March 1, Citybus has announced the introduction of five special bus routes to facilitate travel to various locations, including Kowloon City centre, Tseung Kwan O, Tuen Mun, Central and Western District, and Eastern District.
These special routes will connect major bus interchange stations and offer transfer discounts, covering areas such as Tuen Mun Road, Tseung Kwan O Tunnel, and Hong Kong Island.
To reinforce Hong Kong's status as a "Premier Hub for Mega Events," Citybus also plans to introduce direct bus services from Kai Tak Sports Park to the airport and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Hong Kong Port during large-scale events. This initiative aims to provide local and international visitors with convenient transport options after attending sports events or concerts in the park.
Additionally, Citybus noted that several of its existing routes already pass by Kai Tak Sports Park, including the Airport Express A25, cross-harbour route 608, and rail connector route 22M. To enhance accessibility for passengers, the company is currently discussing the feasibility of adding bus stops along Shing Kai Road and Shing Fung Road with relevant authorities.
