The Media Center for the National Two Sessions officially opened today (Feb. 27). This venue will serve as the central hub for press-related activities during the upcoming Third Session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) on March 5 and the Third Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on March 4.

According to reports, over 3,000 journalists have registered to cover this year's Two Sessions, including over 2,000 from mainland China and over 1,000 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign media. This marks an increase in the number of registered journalists compared to last year.

Fully Equipped Press Facilities

The Media Center has been set up with press conference halls, interview rooms, and designated domestic and international media areas. On-site, a large blue banner displaying the event's title has been placed at the entrance, making it easily recognizable for arriving journalists.

Currently, reporters from various media outlets are collecting their accreditation passes, though credentials for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan journalists have not yet been distributed. The specific time for issuing these passes will be announced later.

Digital Services and Convenience for Journalists

The Media Center is an information hub and an innovation-driven service platform. Throughout the Two Sessions, the center will provide electronic versions of key conference documents via online platforms, reducing the need for journalists to queue for physical copies.

Additionally, special interview rooms will be set up at delegate accommodations, facilitating media access to representatives and political advisors during the event.

With the Two Sessions just around the corner, preparations at the Media Center are in full swing, ensuring a smooth and efficient reporting experience for journalists worldwide.
