The nearest major city within 200 kilometers of the epicenter is Osaka, approximately 153 kilometers away. Additionally, the average elevation within 5 kilometers of the epicenter is about -2060 meters below sea level. This earthquake occurred at a significant depth, which may mitigate surface effects, but the region remains under observation for any aftershocks.
