On Feb. 19, the film official Weibo announced that the display period of 'Ne Zha 2' in cinemas had been extended to March 30.
As of 11:00 p.m. today, 'Ne Zha 2' has grossed RMB 12.378 billion (US$1.707 billion) at the global box office (including pre-sales), placing it at the top of the global box office list for animated films, and eighth on the global box office list for the first time in history.
In addition, 'Ne Zha 2' has been officially scheduled for release this Saturday (Feb. 22) in Hong Kong and Macao cinemas. The movie poster and trailer have been released. The movie will be shown in 2D and IMAX in Hong Kong and Macao theaters, and will be in Mandarin with traditional Chinese and English subtitles.
